Short-haul beaches, islands and year-round choice

Spain holidays

Spain covers several distinct holiday regions. The Costa del Sol offers a mainland resort base, Mallorca supports almost every holiday style, and Tenerife is a strong year-round option with major differences between its north and south.

Mallorca

The island ranges from family beaches to Palma city stays and quieter northern areas. Resort selection matters more than the island label.

When to travel

Mainland and Balearics: May to October

This is the core beach season. July and August bring peak heat, crowds and school-holiday demand.

Canary Islands: year-round

The Canaries are popular in winter, but conditions differ by island, coast and altitude. They are not guaranteed hot every day.

Spring and autumn

These periods can suit sightseeing, couples and travellers avoiding peak heat. Seasonal resort services may be lighter.

Airport plan: Tell us your preferred UK airport, acceptable alternatives and maximum transfer time. We will state the Spanish arrival airport, baggage and transfer arrangement in the package quote.

Match the stay to your plans

Regional departures

Spain has a broad UK flight network, although islands and winter schedules still vary by airport and day.

Straight answers

Questions people ask

Which part of Spain is best for winter sun?

The Canary Islands are Spain’s main winter-sun choice. Conditions vary by island and coast, so choose a resort for its specific climate and atmosphere rather than expecting guaranteed heat.

Is Mallorca only for families?

No. Mallorca has family resorts, Palma city stays, cycling bases, quieter coves and adults-focused hotels. The resort area sets the tone.

Can I fly to Spain from a regional UK airport?

Spain has extensive regional routes, particularly in summer. We check the actual schedule for your dates and destination.

Are local taxes included?

Compulsory charges should be disclosed in the package price or clearly explained before booking. Your written quote will identify any amount payable locally.

Does the £49.99 deposit apply to Spain packages?

Yes. Your quote will set out the named organiser’s balance deadline and cancellation terms.
